Hotel Front Desk Clerk

Hotel front desk clerk needed. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with great customer service skills. This position requires someone that is detail oriented and attentive. Hotel experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Must be dependable. The shift time to be determined. Saturday and Sunday availability required.

Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated individual that can be responsible for hotel operations during the shift. Requires someone that is detail oriented and has good math skills. Responds to a wide variety of guest requests and ensures maximum customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:
Manages all activities at the Front Desk during the shift. Ensures communications and follow-up with other shifts on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.
Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guests will be in person or via telephone.
Assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed. Follows up on credit issues.
Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and wellbeing of hotel guests and employees.
Checks guest in and out in an efficient and friendly manner ensuring that the correct rate is charged for the room. Checks guests out of the hotel, settles bill accurately through credit card or cash transaction.
Utilizes a computer system to check guests in and out of rooms.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience as hotel front desk clerk preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
Excellent communications skills using the English language(bilingual a huge plus)
Friendly, outgoing personality.

Hours Required: Eight-hour shifts. Scheduled days and work hours may vary based on need.

Physical Demands:

Frequently walking indoors, outdoors, up, and down stairs, sitting, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 30 lbs.
