Paris Bar , an iconic French brasserie nestled within the Le Meridien Hotel near Carnegie Hall and Central Park, is hiring experienced Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. We are part of The Fireman Hospitality Group , a renowned restaurant group with over 50 years in the business, known for delivering exceptional dining experiences across New York City and beyond.

We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our kitchen team in the roles of and Line Cook. As a vital part of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Kitchen Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen facility is kept clean and organized at all times, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Follow recipe methodologies and procedures to prepare ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
  • Cooking and Presentation: Execute high-quality dishes according to operational needs, ensuring proper cooking techniques and presentation standards.
  • Support During Service: Assist cooks by removing dirty items and trash from the hotline during service to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the team to order supplies as needed.
  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Comply with all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with integrity and passion, contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment is REQUIRED
  • Knowledge of cooking methods and procedures.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Food Handler Certification or any other relevant kitchen certification is plus

Work Location: One location

LINE-COOKS $20-22 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $22.00)
