Required Qualifications:
This position requires six (6) months of recent and verifiable custodial building cleaning and floor maintenance experience.
Candidate must have their own transportation to report to other college locations as assigned.
Working Hours: 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Key Responsibilities:
Picks up and removes all trash from assigned areas in classrooms, labs, offices, restrooms and theatres, etc. (or other areas as directed). Cleans all chalkboards, blackboards, whiteboards, and erasers on a daily basis. Turns off all lights and secures doors.
Cleans glass, chrome, and exits on all college facilities as designated, including but not limited to classrooms, labs, offices, theatres, lecture rooms, conference rooms, gymnasium, amphitheaters. etc.
Damp and wet mops vinyl and tile floors. Vacuums floors and carpets. Performs floor maintenance such as vacuuming, shampooing, stripping and waxing, buffing, etc., in assigned areas as directed.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
This position requires walking, standing, stooping, stretching, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting all of the time, exerting at least 20 pounds of force on a recurring basis.
This position will experience exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures.
Must be able to follow oral and/or written communications.
Must have computer knowledge to clock in/out and view other personnel related information.

This position is eligible for Veterans Preference pursuant to Chapter 295 of Florida Statutes. Preference will be given to eligible veterans and their spouses in accordance with the statute and requires the applicant to submit eligible documentation such as a DD-214 (or equivalent).
