Weekend Event Staff & Gelato Server

Weekend Event Staff & Gelato Server compensation: $20-22/hr We are a premium Asian-inspired gelato brand that's become a at some of New York City's most beloved events. We pride ourselves on freshness, quality, and great customer experiences. We are seeking reliable, enthusiastic event staff to represent Aurelia at events such as food festivals, pop-ups, markets, concerts, and parties. You'll serve gelato, engage with customers, maintain a clean and beautiful booth, and help us create memorable customer experiences. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding job with high expectations, but it's also fun, rewarding, and a great way to be part of something exciting. Responsibilities: - Scoop and serve gelato efficiently for long lines of customers - Educate customers on our brand, flavors, and ingredients, and offering free samples - Set up and break down booth (tent, tables, signage, display freezers, etc.) - Use Square POS to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately - Keep the booth clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day while serving customers - Follow food safety and handling procedures - Work together with the team to keep lines moving and spirits high Event Dates: We are looking for someone to join us for all, or most, of these dates: - Friday, July 4 (11am-10:30pm) - Jersey City, NJ - Saturday, July 5 (late night 9pm-5:30am) - East Williamsburg, Brooklyn - Sunday, July 6 (9am-6:30pm) - Midtown East - Sunday, August 10 (9am-6:30pm) - Astoria, Queens - Saturday, September 6 (11am-9:30pm) - Long Island City, Queens or Staten Island - More events based on performance Requirements: - Legally authorized to work in the United States - 2+ years of food service or hospitality experience - NYC Food Protection Certificate preferred - Comfortable standing for long hours and working outdoors in various weather conditions (under a tent) - Reliable, punctual, and able to commute to NYC events (all boroughs) - Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused - Familiarity with Asian flavors (milk tea, lychee, ube, Vietnamese coffee, etc.) is a plus - Strong mental math for handling cash - Must be fun to work with and able to hustle! - Fluent in English Perks - Great vibes, great food, and a growing brand to be proud of - Opportunity for future roles and leadership To Apply - Include an updated resume and a brief cover letter.
