Janitor

Location:Frederick, MD

Job Type:

Monday through Friday, 6-hour shift between 8 am - 5 pm -*No Weekends or Holidays*

Summary:

The Janitorial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment within assigned areas such as offices, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and public spaces. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of the facility meet health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:*Included but not limited to:*

- General cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.

- Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies, and maintain overall hygiene.

- Remove trash and recycling from designated areas and dispose of them appropriately.

- Maintain the cleanliness of windows, glass doors, and other surfaces as assigned.

- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums.

- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the supervisor.

- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.

Qualifications and Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- At least 1 year of janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is required.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Good time management and attention to detail.

- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 30 lbs).

- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional in conduct.

- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
