As a key and valued member of Gjelina, you will be crucial in creating exceptional guest experiences through effective communication, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Expeditor, Servers, and Managers in delivering food to guests in a friendly, professional manner while assisting with beverage orders. Additionally, you will help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the venue, efficiently set and reset tables, and stay composed and organized in a fast-paced environment before, during, and after service.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a runner or busser in a high-end or upscale dining setting.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and maintaining fine dining standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests, providing excellent service under pressure.
  • Knowledge of dining etiquette, fine table settings, and food safety protocols.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
*Must have open availability for Saturday and Sunday*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport with guests, ensuring excellent service and encouraging return visits.
  • Efficiently clear, reset, and set tables, maintain cleanliness in dining and service areas.
  • Handle dishes with attention to presentation and timing.
  • Prepare the dining area and understand the venues floor plan for smooth service flow.
  • Comply with safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including food handling and alcohol control.
  • Assist in beverage preparation, be familiar with menu items, and attend mandatory training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and carry items (up to 50 pounds) for 8-12 hours.
  • Must work in environments with varying conditions (e.g., heat, moisture).
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
