This is manual work using skilled trade knowledge to install, clean, repair or replace various commercial facility components and systems. Work may include installation, maintenance and repair of fencing, playground equipment, outdoor exercise equipment, door locks and hardware; reading manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine assembly or repair needs for various equipment; skilled use of a variety of hand and power tools; performing painting, drywall repair, carpentry, masonry, and welding tasks; and conducting preventative and scheduled maintenance. Because of the critical responsibilities of this class, an employee in this class will on occasion be required to report to work outside of the regularly scheduled shift to address scheduled maintenance or urgent repairs at the discretion of management.

Salary: $20.96 - $29.92 Hourly

To Qualify

Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:

  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver License.
  • HHave at least 18 months of experience in facility maintenance or similar work.
  • Be able to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.

Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants:

  • Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Have extensive experience in commercial building construction.
  • Have some skill using a personal computer.
  • Are able to perform manual tasks outdoors for extended periods of time.
