Food Service Specialist 3

LSU Shreveport is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Food Service Specialist 3 in The Port dining facility. The Port Grille is more than just a dining spot it's where the LSUS community comes together. One year of food service experience in a food service operation; OR One year of training in food technology, food service management, or in a food service-related curriculum in a trade school or technical institute; OR Twelve semester hours in food and nutrition, dietetics, food service preparation, home economics, or hotel, food service, restaurant, or institutional management.

Job Duties:

• Cook and serve tasty meals using standard recipes
• Keep food looking great and safe to eat
• Stay positive and helpful with coworkers and guests
• Follow all safety and cleanliness guidelines
• Help with kitchen tasks and equipment
• Track inventory and let us know when supplies run low
• Use the POS system and handle cash responsibly
• Lead the evening close: clean, lock up, secure deposits
• Be flexiblesome evenings, weekends, and holidays may be needed
• Support a welcoming, team-focused environment
