LSU Shreveport is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Food Service Specialist 3 in The Port dining facility. The Port Grille is more than just a dining spot - it's where the LSUS community comes together. Minimum Qualifications
One year of food service experience in a food service operation; OR
One year of training in food technology, food service management, or in a food service-related curriculum in a trade school or technical institute; OR
Twelve semester hours in food and nutrition, dietetics, food service preparation, home economics, or hotel, food service, restaurant, or institutional management.

Job Duties:
- Cook and serve tasty meals using standard recipes
- Keep food looking great and safe to eat
- Stay positive and helpful with coworkers and guests
- Follow all safety and cleanliness guidelines
- Help with kitchen tasks and equipment
- Track inventory and let us know when supplies run low
- Use the POS system and handle cash responsibly
- Lead the evening close: clean, lock up, secure deposits
- Be flexible-some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be needed
- Support a welcoming, team-focused environment
