Pay Range\: $43,890 - $71,320 / year

Job Description\:
To represent the hospital or clinic administrative staff to patients and visitors. To investigate, resolve, document and report organization specific patient and visitor compliments and concerns to leadership and staff.

1. Coordinates communication between patients, family members, medical staff, administrative staff or regulatory agencies. Interviews patients or their representatives to identify issues relative to care. Coordinates, investigates and resolves grievances concerning quality of care and services; documents appropriately.
2. Maintains knowledge of services and resources available to patient. Serves as a central resource for information concerning patient's rights, advance directives and ethical issues. Explains the mission, policies, procedures and services of the hospital or clinic in order to respond to patient needs or concerns.
3. Collects, analyzes and reports customer satisfaction data utilizing feedback to recommend service enhancements and make changes to policies and procedures.
4. Serves as a subject matter expert on guest relations and patient's rights providing leadership to various internal committees and participating in community, state and national professional organizations. May train staff as needed.
5. May participate in the canine ambassador program.
6. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Social Services or healthcare field and two (2) years of related experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
