Summary:

The purpose of this position is for the individual to maintain a clean and sanitary environment in which to work, which requires the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Clean and disinfect bathrooms in the plant

Fill paper towel and tissue dispensers as required

Pick-up and clean the lunch room

Mop all bathrooms daily

Clean and refill Spring-water dispensers daily

Operate the floor scrubber as required

Pick-up trash in the bathrooms daily

Sweep and clean as required or directed

Rearrange lunchroom for certain meetings

Mop the lunchroom and various other areas as required

Clean, disinfect, and sanitize areas that have been in contact with blood or bodily fluids.

Clean smoking pavilion as the need arises

Tends to lawn care as required or directed

Provide a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping, for all team members.

Maintain an acceptable attendance record

Must be able to work in a team environment

Perform other duties that may be assigned

Education and/or Experience: Ability to comprehend and interpret common job instructions and directions when given. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers and customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquires or complaints.

Math:

The Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to relevant tasks is necessary.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to be self motivated, make limited and independent judgments based on given alternatives. Ability to define problems collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an assorted number of tasks or instructions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and sit depending on the task at hand. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk or hear. The employee may be required to use repetitive motions.

The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and the ability to focus.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an indoors manufacturing environment. The noise level is usually moderate. Individuals performing these duties have the potential to come in contact with blood and bodily fluids. Individual must successfully complete a Bloodborne Pathogens training course and be informed of its requirements. Individuals will also be offered availability to HBV (Hepatitis B Immunization), which is highly recommended but can be declined by signing a declination form if the individual chooses. Vaccination consists of three inoculations over a six month period. Vaccination remains available to all employees who have declined should they decide at a later date to accept it and are still occupationally exposed. The employee is required to wear PPE while performing certain element of his/her job function. The employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. Employee must wear uniforms that are provided.

The work environment of this job is a structured one; lunches and breaks are regulated.

Must notify supervisor or group leader when leaving work area.
