Description

The Steakhouse Bus Person will assist in providing a superior dining experience to Guests of Thunder Valley Casino Resort by ensuring timely and friendly service. The Bus Person is primarily responsible for clearing and setting tables in the restaurant. The Bus Person is responsible for setting up bus stations with ice, coffee, tea, plates, silverware, water pitchers, glasses, and cups, as well as for cleaning that bus station continuously. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "ELITE" company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.

  2. Set place settings on table, applying knowledge of different eating utensils as well as items included in a fine dining table setting.

  3. Set up and clean bus stations.

  4. Fill ice water pitchers.

  5. Prepare and serve beverages for Guests such as coffee, tea, soda, and water.

  6. Slice bread, putting it into oven and placing into a basket.

  7. Set up butter dishes and deliver to table.

  8. Retrieve wine glasses from back storage areas.

  9. Return trays of glasses and putting them away at station.

  10. Transport trays with dishes to back area.

  11. Polish silverware.

  12. Maintain the restock area with clean silverware, napkins, and to-go containers.

  13. Clear tables, and clean properly with sanitized towel before resetting. Wipe down chairs and booth seats.

  14. Wipe down condiments are return to appropriate locations.

  15. Clean water spills, food stains, and dirt and debris from tables and floors.

  16. Maintain proper sanitation buckets in bus stations.

  17. Deliver dirty dishes, glassware, and flatware to dish area.

  18. Scrape plates, and load glasses and flatware in racks for washing.

  19. Maintain a clean and organized bus cart.

  20. Sweep under tables with broom and dust pan when needed.

  21. Follow established side work and other duties assigned by management.

  22. Refill drinking glasses with water, and deliver food items to tables as needed.

  23. Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed and adhered to at all times.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.

  2. Prior restaurant experience is preferred.

  3. Must be able to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and management in both written and verbal form.

  4. At least 18 years of age.

  5. Ability to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.

  2. Requires ability to bend and reach for supplies and equipment and push carts.

  3. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

  4. Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift.

  5. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
