Maintenance Engineer
The Maintenance Engineer performs routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems within the property, performing such work in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.
Essential Functions
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for:
The general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry operations of the facility.
Repairing and/or maintaining systems including HVAC, electrical, generators, plumbing, refrigeration, alarms, water, and elevators.
Performing all duties according to Casino policies, procedures and Internal Controls.
Providing a safe environment for patrons and employees, ensuring that any work site is properly secure and clearly mark with warning signs.
Physical Requirements
In addition to the essential job functions, a Maintenance Engineer must be physically capable of performing the following essential physical functions.
Negotiating stairs and ramps. Standing for long periods.
Walking long distances. Frequently required to kneel and crouch.
Lifting, operating, and transporting all facility equipment.
Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, turning, lifting, stretching, and climbing as needed to perform the various essential functions and job duties.
Lifting to 75 lbs.
Working in confined spaces and well as heights.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be able to read and comprehend measurements, instructions & information in the English language including but not limited to price quotes, blueprints, electrical and HVAC diagrams, etc.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays and weekends.
Must have verifiable maintenance work experience.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial building construction and maintenance and/or a 2-two year degree in a related field a plus
EPA Certification a plus.
Specialization in one of the following areas a plus: Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical.
