Leadership Role in fast paced restaurant

We have a leadership position opening up in our kitchen! As we enter our busy summer season, one of our current leaders has decided to advance their culinary path, creating an exciting opportunity for the right individual.

Overview: The Lead Line Cook works with BOH, Chef, Bar Manager, and GM, acting as BOH PIC in a manager's absence to resolve issues. They oversee all kitchen facets for positive and successful daily service. Must have 2 years minimum leadership role experience, with experience working every aspect of amon kitchen line (i.e. saute, grill, pantry, pastry, expo etc.).

Leading by Example:

Follows core values and works efficiently.

Maintains a positive attitude andposure.

Ads to all health rules, regulations, standards, and procedures.

Keeps workspace and restaurant clean.

Remains flexible and a team player, assisting FOH and BOH when necessary.

Communicating:

Maintains positivemunication between FOH and BOH.

Provides real-time correction and encouragement to BOH staff.

Communicates regularly with management (using BOH passdown log).

Building Business and Guest Relations:

Trains new staff and develops current staff.

Improves systems and implements positive changes, notifying staff.

Logs guest requests,plaints, and praise.

Monitoring:

s control inventory and food waste.

Ensures food consistency and correctness.

Oversees dish quality and cleanliness.

Maintains a big-picture perspective and assists in other stations as needed.

Setting The Team Up for Success:

Checks that orders are placed and addresses on the fly needs.

Ensures line cooks are on task, ready for busy service.

Documents prep needs throughout work day, updating prep lists as necessary.

Making Every Shift Successful:

Informs FOH staff of menu changes, specials, and 86'd items.

Ensures staffplete and utilize prep lists and cleaning projects.

Keeps ticket times fast while maintaining food quality.

Expedites tickets expertly.

Maintains kitchen cleanliness and is mindful of guest visibility and audibility.
