Salary Range: $21,092 - $27,056
Position Purpose
Performs a variety of clericak tasks in an office environment; does related work as requird. Work is performed under regular supervision.
Essential Job Functions
Providing general assistance to students, parents and school officials.
Serves as receptionist; greets visitors and provided direction and assistance;
Interviews visitors and refers to proper authority for disposition;
Maintains lists, files, and card indexes;
Contacts parents for early dismissal approval; gives students passes to return to and leave class; verifies bus passes;
Monitors hallway traffic.
Additional Duties
Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.
Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects, and some light work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects; work requires stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.

Qualifications Profile
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
