Summary:
The Cook Chef is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of food for the buffet. They maintain a high level of professionalism in the kitchen and always follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
Responsibilities:
Manage food costs and inventory.
Make sure the work area and kitchen equipment are clean and always organized.
Make sure that hot food is served hot and cold food served cold, maintaining food safety standards.
Keeping the food coolers organized and clean.
Monitoring food stock and placing orders to ensure the kitchen has the necessary ingredients on hand.
Checking in deliveries and putting away stock when and after it arrives.
Checking the buffet temperatures.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and checking food and ingredients for freshness.
Create prep lists for the kitchen.
Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum one year of related experience is required.
Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
