This is a part time position, 2 shifts/week, evening shift 3:30pm-11:30pm

Bowery Bagels, Portland's leading NY style bagel maker, is looking for bakers to join our production team to produce our high quality, vegan, Kosher bagels for retail and wholesale customers. This is a part time position 2 shifts/week (Wednesday and Thursday), $18/hr starting pay. Occasional weekend shifts may be required required. Shifts start at 3:30pm and finish around 11-11:30pm, depending on the needs of the day.

The evening production team is responsible for boiling, topping, baking our bagels and other products, always with an eye towards quality and consistency. T are cleaning tasks and packaging work as well.

Qualified candidates will:

ideally have some bakery experience, although not required

have or obtain a current Food Handler's card

have the ability to do a fast paced, physical job

be able to lift 50lbs and be on your feet for long periods

display a great attitude; with the ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
