You will engage in advanced-level work involving the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as associated units, equipment, and auxiliary devices within a nursing home environment. This role is critical in ensuring that the climate control systems function efficiently and effectively, contributing to the comfort and well-being of residents.

Nestled in the picturesque mountains adjacent to Michaux State Forest, the South Mountain Restoration Center serves as a Long-Term Care Skilled Nursing Home Facility, managed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and emergency call-ins as operationally necessary
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, units, and equipment; or
• Completion of a three-year Vo-Tech training program in refrigeration, HVAC, or building automation and six months experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, related digitally controlled equipment, or BA systems; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration equipment.

Special Requirements:

• You must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an approved provider within 6 months of employment.
• You must be in possession of an active motor vehicle license.

Other Requirements:
