Guest Services Associate (Part Time)

Pendle Hill** is a Quaker study, retreat, and conference center. The Guest Services Associate has duties including a variety of set up and breakdown tasks in meeting spaces across campus, setting up and cleaning up after meals in the dining room, greeting guests and answering their questions, and supporting the housekeeping and kitchen staff. This position provides excellent customer service to a diverse group of spiritual seekers, adult students, and conference groups on campus. Responding well to customer feedback will be an important factor in ensuring quality service. This is a part-time position working shifts that will total 22.5 hours/week and will include hours between 7 am and 8 pm and some weekends. Paid time off is provided scaled to 60% of our full-time benefits.

Required skills include: customer service, a welcoming attitude, reliability, oral and written communication, time management, detail oriented, running cash register, familiarity with AV equipment and Microsoft Office software. This position involves walking between buildings and some physical tasks (carrying refreshments, moving folding tables and chairs). Employees are expected to demonstrate openness to a wide range of spiritual beliefs and experiences, cultural backgrounds and practices, and differences (of all kinds).

Work experience in food/hospitality, event coordination, catering, or reception desk is preferred.
