PM Cook Full-Time (Vesuvio, Carmel-by-the-Sea)

Hourly Rate: $18$22 DOE + Additional Tips

Vesuvio, a lively, high-volume Italian restaurant owned by Pepe International in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, is hiring a full-time PM Cook for evening shifts. Hours are approximately 3 pm 10 pm, five nights per week. Open availability evenings and weekends is required.

This role may include one or more stations Grill, Pasta, Fry, or Salad . Were looking for someone who thrives in a busy kitchen, communicates well, and takes pride in putting out great food consistently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work the line on grill, pasta, fry, or salad station during dinner service
  • Follow recipes and portion/plating standards
  • Assist with prep, restocking, and closing duties
  • Maintain a clean and safe station
  • Communicate clearly with other cooks and expo
  • Uphold Vesuvios standards of speed, consistency, and presentation
What Were Looking For:
  • 1+ year line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred
  • Knowledge of kitchen tools, techniques, and sanitation practices
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Valid California Food Handler Card or willingness to obtain one
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and focused under pressure

Perfil Deseado:
  • 1+ ano de experiencia en cocinas de ritmo rapido (preferido)
  • Conocimiento de tecnicas basicas de cocina y seguridad alimentaria
  • Capacidad para levantar 50 libras y estar de pie por largos periodos
  • Tarjeta de Manipulador de Alimentos valida o disposicion para obtenerla
  • Responsable, positivo y con actitud de equipo
