We are looking for a LEAD BAKER who will be responsible for oversight, preparation, and production of bakery items. We are a from-scratch bakery, which means our bakers learn all the unique elements in the world of baking. Our baking team collaborates on seasonal menus, produces consistent, quality products, and operates state-of-the-art equipment.

A day in the life :
- Lead production and ensure baked goods are baked according to PADERIA product standards.
- Assist the Operations Team in mentoring and motivating bakery employees.
- Ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are maintained.
- Carry out procedures and strategies to improve the overall performance at the assigned bakery.
- Proficiently produce baked goods and be able to troubleshoot issues.
- Support overseeing opening and closing procedures and processes.
- Assist in managing catering orders, online orders, and cash handling.
- Assist in upkeeping inventory, product stock, production stock, pricing, promotions, merchandising, labor scheduling, security, expense control, and other operational processes to company standards.
- Manage, motivate, and develop bakery employees in accordance with company policies and procedures by providing mentorship and maintaining company culture.
- Evaluate storefront conditions and operations to determine strengths and areas for improvement.
- Communicating effectively with the Operations Team when situations arise.
- Physical demands: Lift, carry, and move 50 lb loads. Stand for extended periods. Frequent walking, bending, and reaching overhead.
What you bring to the table :
- Ability to manage, lead, motivate, and build efficient teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High energy and engaging personality with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (depending on customer demands).
- Plan and coordinate production while maintaining consistency and product quality standards.
- Accurately measure and prepare a wide variety of standard and sometimes custom-baked goods, including, but not limited to, cookies, brioches, cheesecakes, egg tarts, puddings, fillings, buttercreams, etc.
- Understand all bakery equipment and tools while combining/cooking ingredients according to specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standards.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including, but not limited to, mixers, ovens, sheeters, three-compartment sink/dishwasher, etc.
- Assist FOH operations as needed by providing upscale quality service and packaging finished products with care.
- Monitor, receive, and stock inventory as it arrives.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the worksite.
- Work with a sense of urgency and meet performance demands.
