Bartender Opportunity: Desert Hawk & Low Horse ( WICKER PARK)

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and a knack for providing exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, mixing and serving drinks, and ensuring that patrons have an enjoyable experience. Your expertise in food safety and retail math will be valuable in maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. We have two locations so the ideal candidate will be working at both bars and be able to cover shifts when needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and responding to inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
• Minor cleaning duties sweeping, mopping, taking out trash and general cleaning
• Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and other supplies; assist with ordering when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly food safety standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently; perform basic math calculations for sales.
• Available 2-3 days a week to start

Requirements

• 2 years min. experience in bartending required
• Ability to work alone and close the bar down alone at night during slower shifts
• Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and customer service best practices.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage customers effectively.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
• MUST be available Sunday nights to work

Compensation: Hourly ($16.60 - $30.00)
