      • Serve Safe Certification a plus.

      • Ability to delegate.
      • Ability to work extra hours and perform extra functions as directed by director or administrator.

      • Ability to do what is needed to assure resident satisfaction and meet needs of residents and guests.
      • Ability to practice safe knife skills.

  • PART TWO: FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
    • Position Objective
      • To deliver extraordinary dining to residents and guests.
    • Performance Expectation
        1. Prepares, produces, and bakes breakfast pastries, breads, rolls, and some desserts.
        2. Develops new products for a la carte or menus on a rotating basis.
        3. Decorates baked goods, such as cream pies, using a pastry bag.
        4. Sets time and speed controls for mixing machines or blending machines so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions.
        5. Communicates daily with Executive Chef.
        6. Assists chefs with responsibility of keeping kitchen, pantries, freezers and walk-in clean and organized, following all labeling, dating and food rotation guidelines.
        7. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines around meal service and other events.
        8. Must be able to increase or decrease recipes and know proper amounts to order for the number of guests being served.
        9. Uses appropriate portion sizes and complies with special diets and/or requests made by residents or guests.
        10. Responsible for checking temperatures of refrigeration throughout the kitchen and filling out daily temperature logs.
        11. Checking in of orders to make sure food is fresh as well as putting products away in compliance with health code.
        12. Making sure that kitchen has sanitation buckets at food preparation stations.
        13. Assist team with ongoing daily upkeep of dish area.
        14. Assist team with general upkeep of kitchen throughout the day.
        15. Assist team with end of day cleaning, leave kitchen and equipment maintained to the highest standards.
        16. Uphold a friendly and professional environment for entire team throughout the workplace.
        17. Other duties as assigned.
