Cleanup/Maintenance Worker Needed

The Cleanup & Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining company grounds, shop and office.

Responsibilities include:
Clean and maintain the building, grounds, and equipment.
Handle necessary repairs and maintenance.
Follow local and state building codes.
Comply with all company safety regulations.
Report any issues to the shop supervisor and/or president of the company.
Respond to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
Perform general maintenance on client vessels when necessary.
Collaborate with the shop team and contractors as needed.
Use equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
Drive a forklift to unload or move materials as needed.
Use a pressure washer to clean client vessels when requested.
Collect and dispose of garbage in bathrooms, around shop, breakroom and in office.
Maintain inventory of supplies for employee breakroom and bathrooms.
Perform various tasks as requested.

The qualifications and general capabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skill, and ability desired by Little Hoquiam Shipyard.

REQUIREMENTS:
At least 1 year building maintenance and cleanup, construction, or plumbing experience is highly preferred.
Able to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
Must be able to perform tasks under time pressure deadlines.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Must be able to work in a hot or
cold environment.
Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work an 8-hour shift standing, bending, crouching, climbing and reaching.
Flexibility to work overtime if needed.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Reliable transportation to and from work is a must!
Follow Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, ear protection) as required for the task or work
area.

Little Hoquiam Shipyard, Inc. is located in the coastal community of Hoquiam, Washington. The Pacific Northwest has an elite skilled labor force and is seeking an experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team. We are recognized as a leading source for reliable, skilled craftsmen with approximately 20 employees.

Full Time is 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch & 2 breaks)
