Maintenance Mechanic - 1st shift

Position Summary:

In this position, you will be responsible for constructing, maintaining and repairing all machinery and manufacturing equipment. Your duties will include monitoring inventory and assembling machinery. To succeed in the role, you should be physically and mentally fit and have a solid knowledge of basic mechanic's tools, service, and diagnostic equipment. Ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, with excellent communication

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular preventive & corrective maintenance and/or rebuilds on machinery and mechanical systems
• Assemble mechanical components according to specifications
• Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems
• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
• Monitor inventory and recommend parts to order
• Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and sit

• Occasional use of force to push, pull, or lift up to 75 pounds.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
• Ability to adjust focus

Minimum Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems
• Technical school training a plus

Skills/Knowledge:

• Good verbal communication skills
• Follow-up Skills

Environment and Scheduling:

• Work is performed in a manufacturing plant setting.
• Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary.
