Job Description
Glens Falls City School District has an anticipated opening for a Head Custodian at Glens Falls High School. This is a 12-month, full-time position. The hours are 7:00am a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Candidates should be able to work independently and possess strong communication skills.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinates, supervises and participates in the day-to-day cleaning, snow removal and event preparation at Glens Falls High School & Middle School.
Coordinates overtime needs with Director of Facilities, district Head Custodians and building staff.
Evaluates staff and makes periodic inspections of cleaning activities to ensure tasks are completed as required.
Enters work order requests and material quotes as needed.
Job Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
Three years of experience in building cleaning and minor maintenance activities.
Candidates must meet civil service requirements for appointment from current eligible lists.
