Overview
TABITHA'S PURPOSE: We empower people to live joyfully, age gratefully.
Schedule: Only scheduled every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) - option to pick up additional days if desired
Two shift options:
6:00am to 2:30pm or
12:00pm to 8:30pm
Responsibilities
Prepares food to order in the dining room as requested by Senior/client. Assists with serving meals to residents following diet orders and requests while providing outstanding customer service during guest interactions.
Assists cook in preparing food items for meal service in large quantities. Follows recipes according to appropriate safe food handling procedures, using food service equipment.
Ensures accurate and timely documentation related to food production, quality, and food safety. Ensures food and products are properly acquired, stored, dated and rotated.
Responsible for operating dish machine to ensure dishes and silverware are cleaned and sanitized, dried and put away in a timely manner.
Handle trash and sweep and mop kitchen floor.
Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, storeroom, cold storage areas, hallways, and dock areas, completing cleaning checklists, as directed.
Assists with unloading, receiving, and stocking food/supply delivers from the food delivery trucks when needed.
Qualifications
COMMUNICATION: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 32 - pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Tabitha's discretion.
AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 16.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Six months of experience in sanitation work in health care or food preparation facility preferred.
