Position Details:
As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for the success of the kitchen, including menu and recipe development, ingredient ordering, supervision of kitchen staff, and ensuring all health and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to create unique dishes to delight our guests.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing creative, innovative, and high-quality menus; review and change menu as needed with support and guidance from the executive chef
Oversee all food preparation, production, and presentation; ensure that recipes are followed and preparation and presentation are adhered to consistently
Prepare a variety of cuisine utilizing skill and creativity
Assist in standardizing production recipes to ensure consistent quality of accepted samples; plan production schedules and supervise production line
Manage maintenance of all kitchen equipment
Assist staff with job functions as needed to ensure optimum service to all patrons
Assist the front of house team to resolve any patron feedback with grace and patience
Possess and maintain thorough understanding of industry and stays abreast of industry trends; communicates/incorporates information to assure kitchen remains current
Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of wines offered in restaurant and wine/food pairings
Ensure all kitchen and food operations are in compliance with all legislated health and licensing guidelines; ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and procedures
Assists in creating requisitions and/or purchases all food products; complete food production records and costs menus on a regular basis
Prepare accurate and timely reports as required
Assists Executive Chef to hire, train, supervise, motivate, and develop kitchen staff; manage schedules and workflow.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.

Minimum of 5 years of kitchen experience with at least 1 year as a sous chef
Must be eligible to work in the USA
