Busy Mexican restaurant in San Pedro seeking a line/prep cook for a part-time role. Current need is for Saturday and Sunday brunch service hours, approximately 9am-5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and standards.
-Operate and maintain equipment with precision and efficiency.
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
-Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
-Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards of excellence.
-Adhere to all sanitation and safety procedures, including proper food handling and storage practices.
-Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working under pressure.
-Take direction and execute tasks promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
-2+ years kitchen cooking required.
-Experience with breakfast recipes and Mexican cuisine preferred.
-Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and communicate clearly.
-Must have AM weekend availability for brunch shifts.
-English/Spanish communication skills preferred.
-Confidence with knife skills, clean station, and fast paced service.
-Reliable, on time, and serious about food safety and cleanliness.
-California food handling certification required.
