This position is a member of our External Relations Division.
HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING
Plan, develop, coordinate, and administer educational outreach workshops and events targeted to the regulated community for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
Prepare and manage contracts for facilities and services to support events; monitor contract performance, including corrective action as appropriate.
Coordinate, plan, and oversee seminars and workshops. Assist with the planning of conferences.
Develop web applications and documents in coordination with the Lead Internet Developer. Make applications and documents available on the TCEQ internal web site. Ensure materials posted on agency web sites conform to agency standards, including accessibility standards.
Qualifications: KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience preparing and managing contracts for facilities and services to support events.
Experience coordinating seminars, workshops, and conferences.
REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university plus one year of full-time experience in contracting or purchasing.
OR
Five years of full-time experience in contracting or purchasing.
Note: Must obtain the Texas Contract Manager Certification (CTCM) within twelve (12) months of hire date.

Work Schedule
Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ External Relations Division.
