Paju is a Modern Korean restaurant located in South Lake Union, Seattle. We are seeking an individual who is well spoken and passionate about serving Korean food in a truly special neighborhood setting. Passion is as important as experience.
The Chef de Partie is a line position working the hot side or cold side of the kitchen, primarily running the production of and service side of the menu, managing your station and working closely alongside the BOH management. We are a one team, one dream kitchen, w we are on display producing inspired Korean cuisine. Passion, dedication and refinement are the requirements, wanting to be part of the expanding team for the long haul. Perfect for the cook ready to step up to learn and grow with us. We are looking to expand services, start new ventures and programs within the building.
The position is 3 days a week/10 hours per day
Line Cook Qualifications and Necessary Skills:
At least 2 years of relevant restaurant experience required
Culinary and/or college degree with considerable working knowledge of relevant food preparation a plus
Genuine passion for cooking and restaurant hospitality
Highlyanized, productive, and able to work in a high-intensity kitchen / work environment
Energetic and friendly personality, with strong willingness and ability to work as part of a cohesive team and to support colleagues regardless of role
Willingness to take direction from Chefs, embrace change and innovation, and to learn and adapt to new systems, service steps and health and cleaning procedures
Physical requirements include: ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 35lbs, and exert well-paced mobility for extended period of time
