Victoria Bar, A North Portland food & beverage staple, is looking for a motivated Chef De Cuisine to join the team! Ideal candidates will have high volume experience, qualified management experience & skills, costing & inventory knowledge and strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for someone to lead the ship.

We have recently changed our food program as LeBeau Fine Goods, specialty sandwiches from scratch! The perfect candidate will be excited for some creativity and have some baking experience!

What we need:

Lead / Chef De Cuisine

40-50hrs/week

Salary: $55-60k + tipped shifts

Benefits include: paid health insurance, PTO, phone, & Sick pay (after 90 days)

What we require:

Strong management and team skills - needs to be a team player & help create a healthy & positive culture

Strongmunication practices - needs to positively & professionallymunicate with guests, owners, GM, & FOH as well as their BOH crew

High volume & quality menu experience - can adapt with the times, can dish out quantity while NEVERpromising quality

Proficient kitchen skills & creativity - some fine dining and baking experience is a plus!

Costing & Inventory control - being able tofortably cost out dishes to insure they are priced correctly.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals that thrive under a fast paced environment w teamwork, culture, consistency and cleanliness are always a priority.

The Summary:

This is a full time position that reports to the GM. This position is required to manage services while making sure prep, cleanliness, &anization are top priorities. As a fast paced & high volume kitchen, consistency and quality are mandatory to our program, a willingness to train and properlymunicate with the team is also crucial. Working weekends & picking up shifts/assisting in coverage is required. Once trained andfortable, we are open to menu changes & creativity!

The Responsibilities:

Ensure BOH operates at the highest level with constant support and guidance

Coordinates with Owner/GM to maintain quality & consistency

Provides a safe and weing space for our staff & guests

Cleanliness, food handling, safety &anization standards are maintained at all times

Upkeeps the recipe bible and makes sure all BOH staff is trained on execution of all dishes.

Maintains a thorough allergy & ingredient list.

Personal hygiene and ability and knowledge on how to safely handle food according to food handler guidelines.

The Physical Stuff:

Must be able to focus,municate, and lead 100% of the time

Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing, sitting, bending, twisting, stooping, stretching, and lifting for the duration of each shift

Must be mentally flexible and capable of responding to ever changing priorities and duties

Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 30lbs

Expected to cook in a very high volume kitchen

Expected to perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, wiping.

Reasonable amodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential requirements.

Schedule:

Full availability required

Required to work weekends and some holidays.

Required to cover shifts as needed
