Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

Responsibilities:
- Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware using autoclaves.
- Collect and deliver glassware to and from various lab locations.
- Maintain glassware inventory, order new supplies, and inspect for damage.
- Keep accurate records of glassware usage and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with lab staff to understand their needs and schedule services.
- Develop a customer-focused culture that promotes loyalty through exceptional service.
- Update equipment work order records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Coordinate equipment scheduling with internal customers and external vendors.
- Escort vendors for on-site activities.
- Support procurement of lab consumables and materials for equipment management.
- Generate client-requested reports, including open work orders and service requests.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards.
- Author Work Instructions and perform PPE assessments to maintain safety awareness.
- Promote a safe work environment through various safety initiatives.
- Provide extensive customer service and timely responses to service status requests.
- Serve as the first point of contact for lab support service questions.
- Stay updated on new policies and improvements to promote personal growth and development.
- Address customer concerns effectively and aim for first-call resolution within established turnaround times.
- Work effectively with a diverse cross-functional team.
- Adopt Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.
- Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific positively at all customer locations.
- Attend required training sessions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent combination of a two-year degree and laboratory experience.
- Expertise in GMP environment preferred.
- Shown excellence in developing customer relationships.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Focus on laboratory safety and GXP compliance.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
- Experience in writing procedures and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and other computer software programs.
- Strong customer service skills.
