Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician - Days Fabcon Precast - 2.8 Grandville, MI Job Details Full-time Estimated: $53.2K - $65.7K a year 20 hours ago Qualifications Stick welding Maintenance Mid-level CMMS MIG welding Trade school Computer skills Hydraulics LOTO Conveyor installation Full Job Description Purpose/Scope: Maintain, repair and install equipment using safe and effective problem-solving techniques on an ongoing basis Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain all mechanical aspects of plant and yard equipment including but not limited to rolling yard equipment: yard trucks, vans, switchers, loaders, Mi-Jack cranes, skid steer, concrete trucks, as well as rolling support equipment Communicate with supervisor on parts inventories and supplies Other duties as assigned Other Required Qualifications: Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor and auger systems, power tools, overhead cranes, welding and fabrication, SMAW, GMAW, plasma torch, oxy/acetylene cutting, and wheeled vehicle repair and operation (including yard tractors, forklifts, aerial lifts, skid steers, and wheel loaders) Basic understanding of lockout/tagout (LO/TO) procedures Basic understanding of Hot work permit procedures Basic understanding of Confined space procedures Able to operate heavy equipment; i.e., forklifts, bobcats, aerial lifts, cranes and yard tractors (trucks) Ability to troubleshoot minor electrical issues and repair Ability to understand and follow direction Ability to read and understand parts diagrams in order to assemble/disassemble miscellaneous equipment Ability to work independently Committed to safety, customer satisfaction, first time quality and efficiency Computer skills.
