POSITION OVERVIEW:
Cleans and keeps in an orderly condition office working areas and washrooms. Duties involve a combination of the following: Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing trash, and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and minor maintenance services; and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJORRESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean and sanitizerestrooms/bathrooms offices using established practices and procedure.
Clean, dust, and wipe furniture;sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers;refill restroom dispensers, etc.
Follow instructions regarding theuse of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.
Move furniture, equipment,supplies and tools on an incidental basis.
Wash accessible interior and exterior windows.
Responsible for monitoringinventory, cleaning supplies and paper products, for specific assigned workareas; re-supply when needed.
Understand and demonstrate theproper use of safety practices & ensure standards are maintained for thedepartment.
Understand and activelyparticipate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by followingestablished company policies and procedures.
Accomplishes organization missionby completing related assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Must be able to take and followdirections.
Must be able to identify andunderstand chemicals.
Must have knowledge of custodialequipment.
