Our Dishwasher/Utility Worker:
Performs a wide variety of cleaning, transport and serving functions to ensure the efficient operation of the Food Service Department.
Cleans dishes, equipment and surfaces according to department procedures and schedules.
Transports supplies to various areas of department and community in a timely manner, including dining rooms and tray service.
Performs routine sweeping and trash removal with quality results.
Other assigned work may include cleaning fixtures and equipment such as ovens, stoves, fryers, steam kettles, hoods, refrigerators, grease traps, carts, counters, floors, carpets, pots, pans, and catering equipment.
What you need to succeed:
At least 18 years of age.
Cleared Criminal Record clearance through the Department of Social Services prior to presence in the community.
Health screening and TB test results not older than 6 months.
Current First Aid Training and Certifications (per Title 22).
Sensitivity and knowledge of working with older adults and the aging process.
Ability to identify need, develop, and manage programs and systems simultaneously.
Knowledge about dementia highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of aging process and implications of aging in a social setting.
Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, peers and employees in a multi-cultural environment.
