Job DetailsNow Hiring: Lead Server The Little Goat (Rhinebeck, NY)
The Little Goat is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Lead Server to join our front-of-house team. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation dining room, can guide a team in service execution, and delivers a consistently excellent guest experience.
Please note, this is a long-term position. We are only considering applicants who are within a commutable distance and plan to stay in the area year-round. This is not a seasonal, summer, college break, or transitional role. High School students, out of area college students, or short-term applicants will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Set the tone for service and lead by example
- Train and support newer servers and support staff
- Manage table sections, maintain pace and flow of service, and handle VIPs or special requests
- Collaborate closely with management and BOH to execute service smoothly
- Uphold and reinforce house standards around hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism
- Contribute to pre-shift meetings, menu knowledge, and wine/cocktail service training
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in upscale or high-volume restaurants
- Confident with pacing, multitasking, and hospitality under pressure
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails
- Positive leadership style and strong communication skills
- Available nights, weekends, and holidays
- Punctual, professional, and reliable
