Maintenance Mechanic**

**Job Description**

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of our manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is essential to ensuring smooth and efficient operations across our production floor.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform routine and emergency maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

+ Troubleshoot and repair machinery, including textile and industrial equipment.

+ Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.

+ Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.

+ Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.

+ Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

**Essential Skills**

+ High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.

+ 3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

+ Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Familiarity with PLCs, motors, pumps, conveyors, and HVAC systems is a plus.

+ Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures and workplace safety protocols.

+ Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

+ Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

+ Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.

+ Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.

**Work Environment**

Join a family-oriented company where the original family still owns the facility. Work in a dynamic environment, with shifts available on both the 1st and 2nd floors, and opportunities to engage with a diverse team. Our 1st shift is primarily English-speaking, while the 2nd shift is primarily Spanish-speaking. The facility operates from 6am to 4:30pm and 2nd shift from 4pm to 2:30am, providing flexibility in shift options.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract position based out of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
