Position Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and organized Cashier/Host/Busser to join our team at our buffet-style restaurant. This team member will be the first and last point of contact for our guests welcoming them warmly, managing seating, and handling payments efficiently.
Host/Cashier
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests with a warm and positive attitude as they enter the restaurant
Manage the waitlist, assign tables, and assist with guest seating
Provide menus and explain buffet pricing or policies when necessary
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process guest payments
Answer incoming phone calls and assist with inquiries
Keep the cashier and host areas clean and organized
Communicate with other staff members to ensure smooth dining room operations
Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred
Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system
Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
Busser
Position Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Busser to support our dining room team. The Busser will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment by clearing and resetting tables, assisting with dining room cleanliness, and helping servers and hosts when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Quickly and efficiently clear dirty dishes and utensils from tables
Wipe down and reset tables with clean tableware
Keep floors, chairs, and dining areas clean and organized
Refill water and assist with guest needs when appropriate
Support hosts ensure smooth service during busy hours
Take out trash and keep service stations stocked and organized
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but not required
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
