Job Description

New Journey, a Genesis10pany, is seeking a General Maintenance Technician for a 3-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.

Compensation: $21.50 per hour

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the daily upkeep and organization of facility areas, ensuring a safe, functional, and efficient work environment. This role involves hands-on general maintenance, minor repairs, workspace organization, safety marking, and equipment inspections.

Job Responsibilities:

Organize and set up maintenance areas to support operational efficiency.

Perform routine cart maintenance.

Finalize and organize harness inspection stations, including hanging boards and hooks.

Install cork boards, whiteboards, and similar fixtures throughout the facility.

Mark and clearly identify fire lanes and restricted access areas to support site safety andpliance.

Monitor facilities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper function.

Conduct minor carpentry, plumbing, and general repair work.

Troubleshoot and assist with basic HVAC, electrical, and mechanical system issues.

Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.

Move and assemble office furniture, equipment, and materials when required.

Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized maintenance work.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

0-2 years of related maintenance or facilities experience.

Basic mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and repair techniques.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.

Good time management and the ability to work independently.

Effectivemunication and interpersonal skills.
