The Star Trainer-Server is responsible for delivering exceptional dining service to residents and guests with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. This role ensures a clean, welcoming dining environment and supports overall community satisfaction through consistent service excellence and Legendary Hospitality. Star Trainer-Servers play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for residents and supporting leasing and marketing efforts through memorable guest experiences.

Workload Expectations

Your workload will be adjusted during training shifts so you can focus on observation, coaching, and support. When not actively training, your regular job duties will resume as normal.

You must be flexible and available to train on days, nights, and weekends, depending on when new hires are scheduled

Training & Mentorship Responsibilities

Star Trainer-Servers are expected to champion Legendary Hospitality and support a strong, service-focused team culture. Responsibilities include:

Provide hands-on training and guidance for new dining room servers in accordance with Senior Star's training plans.

Model and uphold dining service standards, customer service excellence, and teamwork expectations.

Foster a warm and inclusive environment that helps new associates feel welcomed, confident, and valued.

Observe and assess the progress of new associates; share timely, constructive feedback with supervisors.

Coach and encourage new team members through challenges and celebrate milestones and growth.

Promote Senior Star's culture, mission, and values including the Promise to Do for each other with love.

Remain available for support and questions beyond the formal training period.

Assist with resolving training obstacles; involve leadership as needed.

Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet onboarding and community needs.

Adapt positively to workflow or team changes, modeling professionalism and Legendary Hospitality.

Hours & Schedule

Varied schedule with availability required seven days per week.

Must be available for weekends and holidays to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

Prior food service or hospitality experience

Required Skills & Attributes

Service-oriented and professional demeanor

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation

Ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality

Passion for serving seniors and creating Legendary Hospitality experiences
