JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary The Wandering Ewe Pub and Eatery is a new,
growing pasture to plate family friendly small supper club. We are
seeking a talented and passionate Chef to work with our small team in
delivering exceptional dining experiences, with a focus on food safety
and quality. We feature our own lamb and include as much local produce
as possible. Thursday, Friday, Saturday evenings 4-10pm for dinner
required, and additional hours as the job demands for organizing, prep
work, ordering, etc. Willingness to cover Saturday and Sunday 10-4
shifts as needed to back up our other chef. As we grow we may open
additional hours. We also host groups events during off hours. As a
Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, helping
creating innovative menus, and ensuring the highest standards of food
preparation and presentation. Experience cooking from scratch and
multitasking in a high volume environment preferred. We will train
likely candidates that have basic restaurant cooking skills. We would
prefer someone local that intends to remain in the area. Starting wage
depends on experience, tips are shared with full shift team front and
back of house. After 1 year, a 30% profit sharing contract is available
for this position. Pay: \$13.00 - \$18.00 per hour based on experience.
Expected hours: 20 26 per week, could grow as business grows
Responsibilities Develop and execute creative menus that reflect
seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Oversee daily kitchen
operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Ensure
compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of
cleanliness in the kitchen, full wash-up at the end of every shift.
Supervise assistant kitchen staff during shift, providing training and
guidance to ensure efficient workflow and teamwork. Assist in managing
inventory and ordering of food supplies while minimizing waste through
effective food management practices. Assist with pre-prep, ordering, and
other duties during off hours. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to
ensure seamless service during meal periods. Implement shift management
strategies to optimize kitchen performance during busy service periods.
Take and pass an online course for the WI kitchen manager certification
which we pay for. Requirements Experience as a Scratch Chef or in a
similar culinary role within a fine dining environment preferred. Strong
knowledge of food safety practices and regulations, kitchen managers
certificate (we will pay for training if you don\'t have one)
Supervisory skills with experience in team management and shift
management preferred . Proficiency in scratch cooking, food handling,
and kitchen management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to
effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff. A
passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for
