Janitor-Per Diem

Royal Oaks, in Duarte, CA, one of twenty award-winning HumanGood communities recognized by US News & World Report, is seeking a Per Diem Janitor for its Continuing Care Community. Under limited supervision, you are responsible for custodial duties in our Residential Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing.

Janitor work involves sweeping, mopping, and using vacuum cleaners to clean floors; dusting and cleaning bathroom fixtures and floors; emptying trash receptacles and picking up debris. You would be expected to always demonstrate and promote service excellence and patient confidentiality. Additionally, you will perform rounds on campus at various times throughout your shift, document and report maintenance issues with the irrigation system and general outdoor lighting, and ensure the cleanliness of outdoor seating and community benches. Routine tasks include trash, recycling, and green waste collection, as well as cobweb and debris removal from common spaces and outdoor recreation areas.

City: Duarte

Status: Per Diem

Shift: Rotation, 6:30 am- 2:30 pm, 7 am- 3 pm, 11 am-7 pm, 12 pm-8 pm, and 2 pm-10 pm.

Compensation: $19.00 -$21.10 per hr. based on experience

To be successful in the role, you would have:

• Previous janitorial/custodial experience required
• Previous carpet or floor care experience required
