Job Description

Laem Buri is a Thai restaurant which is committed to serving high-quality authentic Thai cuisine in the Greenwood area of Seattle, Washington. We provide a unique combination of excellent Thai cuisine with a welcoming atmosphere and cozy dining room. Our ongoing goal for the restaurant is to provide customers with a memorable and service-oriented dining experience at an affordable price. We are currently looking for experienced and talented Thai Specialty Cooks. Specifically, our Thai Specialty Cooks will be responsible for the following duties:

1. Prepare and cook authentic Thai dishes using an understanding of the herbs and spices which permeate Thai cooking, including fermented fish sauce, shrimp pastes, lemongrass, coriander, galingale, garlic, and chilies;
2. Cook in a fast-paced environment under time pressure;
3. Prepare different types of Thai specialty sauces so the dishes contain unique and authentic Thai flavors; and
4. Perform other health and sanitation duties as required by law.

SALARY: $50,939/year

REQUIREMENTS: 24 months in any occupation demonstrating Thai cooking experience (2 years of experience in Thai cooking).
