Wyndemere is looking for a dynamic and creative Sous Chef to play in key role in our evolving
culinary department. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in the culinary aspects of the
role, employs strong managerial skills and is excited for the opportunity to play a part in
developing our signature menus.
Salary Range: $60,000-75,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Help in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus
- Produce high quality plates in both design and taste
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedules and assess staff performance
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and residents
Skills
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef
- Ability to execute various cooking methods, experience working with a variety of ingredients,
equipment and cooking procedures
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- Familiar with industry's best practices
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management
software, POS)
- BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus
