Under the direction of the plant operations manager, the laundry aide will ensures that laundry is cleaned and distributed properly

- 1. Cleans and/or disinfects all hard surfaces and room furniture, including bed frames, dressers, nightstands, over-bed tables, television, etc. Dust
mops the entire room with a focus under beds, chairs, and other furniture. Wet mops the entire room, including the bathroom, after sweeping and
picking up loose particles.
2. Cleans and disinfects bathroom sink, mirror, and toilet, base of toilet, commodes, paper, and soap dispensers. Ensure paper towels, soap, and
toilet paper dispensers are full.
3. Consistently checks the walls for cleanliness and that they are free from damage. Washes walls, windows, and other surfaces as needed.
4. Collects and empties trash. Moves trash cans and other items to sweep behind, cleans, and disinfects trash containers.
5. Checks the sharps disposal container to make sure it is not full and empty when needed.
6. Reports any missing, or broken, items such as tv remote, phone, lights out, etc., to maintenance.
7. Completes the cleaning and disinfecting of rooms after discharge.
8. Periodically rechecks and touches up rooms as needed.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
EXPERIENCE
6 months experience preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Must know how or to be able to learn how to clean and run machines properly. Must learn all phases of work to be interchangeable with housekeeping personnel. Must be able to understand written and oral instructions. Must be able to work independently
