POSITION SUMMARY

Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The Receptionist is the first contact for all outside calls and visitors to SEC locations.

SCHEDULE

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thursday - 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Pay Range

$17 - $19 an hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answers the telephone and professionally directs calls to the proper individuals or direct calls to the voice mail system.
  • Ensure phone calls are redirected accordingly.
  • Greet guests and visitors in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
  • Open and close visitor area (locking doors, closing blinds, turning off lights).
  • Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents assigned.
  • Provides administrative support for various projects.
  • Performs all other d uties as assigned.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Possesses excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated Computer literacy skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Familiarity with telephone systems preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of six months customer service experience.
  • Minimum of six months clerical/administrative experience.
