Table Preparation : Setting up tables before guests arrive by arranging tableware, napkins, and condiments according to restaurant standards.
Assistance with Service : Assisting servers with delivering food and beverages to tables, refilling water glasses, and clearing empty plates and glasses throughout the meal.
Bread and Beverage Service : Bringing bread or other complimentary items to tables and refilling beverages such as water, coffee, or tea as needed.
Assisting with Guest Needs : Fulfilling guest requests, such as providing additional utensils, napkins, or special condiments, and assisting with any special accommodations.
Table Maintenance : Keeping tables clean and tidy throughout service, including wiping down surfaces, replacing soiled linens, and resetting tables for the next guests.
Supporting Front-of-House Staff : Providing support to servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders as needed to ensure efficient service and a positive guest experience.
Assisting with Service Flow : Monitoring the pace of service and assisting in coordinating the timing of food delivery to ensure that guests receive their meals promptly and simultaneously.
Communicating with Kitchen : Relaying guest orders and special requests to the kitchen staff accurately and promptly, and assisting in ensuring that orders are prepared correctly.
Assisting with Clean-Up : Helping to clean and reset the dining area at the end of service, including clearing tables, stacking chairs, and performing general cleaning tasks.
Following Safety and Hygiene Procedures : Adhering to food safety standards, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and following proper sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for guests and staff.
