Herb Thai, is a 45 seat, Prix-Fixe and A la Carte, an eleven year establishment that is Nationally recognized, a Food Network Winner and Chicago Eater rated.
Herb innovates the way upscale Thai cuisine is presented and elevated for all dinersas a Four Region Thai cuisine tasting experience across their distinct flavors, ingredients and health advantages within a four season itinerary and rotation.
Herb will continuously offer thoughtful service, joy and wonder to our customers, that provides a wonderful dining escapes and adventures for our patrons.
Your personal interactions and knowledge sharing would help patrons enjoy the wonderful and flavorful combinations of fresh, distinct herbs and ingredients that give the palette an adventure to remember and a health-oriented mindset to lean into.

Your responsibilities would include:
- Welcoming all guests
- Presenting a welcoming, positive yet professional attitude with each and every guest.
- Clean, dining professional clothing with provided server coat
- Arriving to work by 4 PM (TBD)
- Listening, understanding and note taking for each diners order
- Serving Customers in the Herb Style.
- Refills and occasional table bussing for all diners.
- Immediately sharing needs or challenges to Manager in an urgent, safe, articulated manner
- Thanking all customers for coming, asking for feedback on their experience, and ensuring their contact and follow-up information is entered and noted into our Customer Service System.
- Helping to clean up the dining room after service has ended and helping to set it up for the next day.
In this Tips Server/Floor Lead combined role, you would be responsible for:
- Creating a seamless and positive guest experience from beginning to end: Greeting guests, seating them appropriately, ensuring a smooth service flow at their table, and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Balancing front-of-house management tasks with direct table service: This would involve overseeing the dining room, while also taking orders, serving food and beverages, and interacting with guests at their tables.
- Working closely with other staff members: Collaborating with kitchen staff, bar staff, and other servers to ensure efficient and coordinated service.
- Maintaining a high standard of service and hospitality: Upholding fine dining standards and providing attentive service to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Handling reservations and seating arrangements: Managing the flow of guests into the dining room, while also being available to provide personalized service at tables.
