Job Details Job Details Gammon Cafe LLC is hiring Lead Line Cooks to join our team at 7 Spring!Nestled on a vibrant block, 7 Spring is the first members club of its kind in New York City, converging timeless elegance, glamour and aesthetic. This 70-seat space is designed to foster a sense of community for those who share an interest in backgammon, imbibing, and dining.
The venue draws inspiration from bespoke European lounges where traditional luxury meets contemporary service. The food and beverage program is anchored by staples such as caviar, charcuteries, and more satiating options such as the roast beef and halibut dinners, served family style. Our wine list is carefully curated featuring an array of old world wines, while our refined cocktail offerings include house takes on classics as well as specialties.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing ordering and receiving the highest quality ingredients
- Developing, teaching, and maintaining all recipes and techniques
- Organizing a team and holding each chef accountable for their responsibilities
- Overseeing and maintaining a smooth professional service
- Maintaining all kitchen equipment and following up for any repairs needed
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
- Overseeing scheduling and inventory to work within a set budget
- Excitement to learn, be part of a dynamic team and drive towards excellenc
- 5+ plus years of culinary / food and beverage line position in a high-volume restaurant
- Good knife skills, plating techniques, and attention to detail
- Ability to learn and follow recipes to execute dishes and prep
- Ability to work in a team environment and take feedback well
- Maintain safe, sanitary and organized work stations
- Lift and carry 30+ pounds
- Ability to work long hours standing, shifts will last up to 10 hours
